I ordered this board from www.ncix.com(yay go canada) yesterday.
I have a question it says the board has 1000mbit lan. My question is will I be able to throw away my 100mbit card if im hooking to a 100mbit hub through the boards onboard lan. Or am I still going to need my 100mbit network card?

On a side note. Im really pumped to be getting this board. Iv herd nothing but good things about it. Lookin foward to overclockin my new 2.4ghz P4C too

Dont worry, you can use the onboard LAN instead of your network card, it will just reconfigure itself to the actual hub speed thats 100Mbit/s transfer rate.

The P4G8X offers plenty of overclocking potential, Using incremental front side bus adjustments, you can achieve with your 2.4ghz/c a 3.0 ghz+ clock rate, isnt that sweeeeeet

The 1000mbit nic is backwards compatible, so you can throw out the old one if you feel like it, but if you have a free pci slot then it wouldnt hurt to have both
