Rakion v492 Client (International) rootkit?
i downloaded Rakion v492 Client (International) this morning.
- unrar - install - avast said there was a rootkit in /Softnyx/RakionIS/Bin/entitiesmp.dll i thought gamershell downloads where clean? cause when you download it it says controlled by smartscreen and no wrong things where found (or something). or is avast wrong? a-squared and malewarebites don't find anything. edit: more than one! I will check it with McAfee.
Edit: nothing found. BTW, Avast isn't quite the best program.

and a-squared finds it also now.

I have downloaded the file from three different America servers and found no virus in the install file or when it is installed. I am trying from the Europe servers now but, they are really slow for me.

If I can't find it, there is not much I can do. Richard could not find it either. If more people can find it, there may be something I can but, as it stands, not much I can do for aside from tell you to download it from a different server or not play the game

Its fine kid. Just packed with armadillo and for some reason the "signature" of the file resembles some rootkit,malware or what ever in your antivir library and the reason why some other antivir programs may also see it as the same virus is because they are shareing the same source for those signatures.
So just make an expetion for it in your antivir. Another easy way to be "sure" about these things is if you upload it to some place like this.Virus.Org :: Malware Scanning Service Which checks the file with almost all virus scanners available. Edit: My bad it's packed with ASPack. Just incase some smart mouth tries to point that out :P
