A little help :(

Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

I get this message, after a message that says some thing like this "your computer profile might be corrupted, pleae contact Administrator for help", i am the Admin

, So, all of my computers setting are on default, and My Documents is empty (where i keep my downloads etc), the defaulr background is on and all my icons are gone from the desktop, so basically everything is reset and it says that my network or account is corrupted, MAYBE i need to to a Check disc scan, but i have forgotten the command to make my computer to that as it doesnt do that on start-up after a bad shutdown.... any idea's people

Easy... reinstall your OS.

f**k, i got that EXACT problem just about a week ago!

log on as guest, go start, settings, control panel. then user accounts. u can set up a new account from there. unfortunately it means u lose all things like internet favs, cookies, cdkeys 4 games etc.

to set up my docs, right click on it and press properties, then set the directory.

What OS are you using? I know that Windows 2000 (possibly NT too) stores all stuff in <WIN-PARTITION>:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME> . Not sure about other ones, but try the default windows directory or just search for "my documents" through windows explorer window.

Yeah, its the same in XP, so i got it all back :clap:
