Finally my new computer is working!!!
I've been working on it for 8 weeks straight now due to some hardware problems. The major problem was that I needed a better PSU!!
My specs:
Soltek nVidoa NForce2
AMD Barton 3200+ (2210 mHz)
Geforce ti4200 (128mb)
2x256 DDR dual ram
My life has only just begun... B)

With your 3200+ Barton CPU you need at least a 350 W PSU for a stable system !
you have a a good system here but even with your CPU you will not be able to experience all the visuals in the Upcoming Directx9 titles !
Its time to Upgrade your VGA !

Looks like a fine gaming-rig.
Don't listen to irs2k3 by the way. ;)
I'm not going to upgrade my ti4200 in a while. It brings me all the eyecandy I need.

I upgraded my "old" 300 W PSU to a 400 W PSU.
And I am planning to buy a new video card that supports DirectX 9 but i'm going to wait for a couple of months before i upgrade again. It depends on how HL2 will run on this system. Right now; a ti4200 is very nice.

It will run well on your system, but you will not be able to see Half-life2 at its best !

Ever notice that the only hardware advice that irs can give is to upgrade your graphics card?

Thats because the most important boost in performance comes from your GFX !
it is something obvious Bucky !
I guess you cant get all the visuals from your CPU or RAMs ! :P

I really dont think it has to do with the card all the time! I have a gf4 and it works well, granted tis not the bsest card it works. RAM is also an imprtant thing. Moving from 192 to over 512 made a huge difference

Is that a fact?
OK, my comments:
You don't know dick about gaming rigs.
Crackpot's rig will kick the hell out of anything available right now, and MIGHT need an upgrade at some time in the future.
