i hope that but the aquamark3 preview bench with the new drivers showed us the potential of the new dets

Yeah, I hope the Det. 50.xx drivers address the problem. The PS2.0 problem pertains to the architecture of the card thus it can't be addressed in software. So don't hold your breath.
