Sweden... it was a 2.8 clocked to 4.4 and they had put in almost 8000 dollars in that.....

what you saw was the official world record and nothing else.
its not like they have some magic ball that sees every overclocking attempt around the world
if you dont show them your overclock they wont know about it, so there are problary shitloads of people out there that have theyr systems overclocked like mad.
i mean, its not like overclocking needs mad skills..all you need is cash and some more cash and off you go

The record AFAIK is held by macci at the futuremark forums with a P4 3.2Ghz @ 4.9Ghz (Super PI in 30sec)

i can take this pc to a next level i can break all those high benchmarks problem is MOOOOOOONEY >=P anyways i just built myself a gaming pc basically im about 2 3 months when i get back on my feet ill spend around 8gs just to build the worlds fastest pc im talkin about 4 vapochills with the highest proccesors motherboards rams the high tech everyhting and ill reach 10ghz i PROMISE you that my friend is already preparing for 10ghz i just use this pc for gaming which is OOK for now this pc to me is average nothing im about to mess around with hardcore

Gta3 1600 x 1200 6x aa 16x af - 80 fps constant any where i go(even if 20 cars blow up in statoun island with 100 peds running all over the place mayhem) i limit the frame limiter to 60 game looks like a BEAUTY

GtaVCE 1600 x 1200(need bigger mointor gettin soon in week 22inch) 6x aa 16 af - 130-40fps constant

Maxpayne 1600 x 1200 6xaa 16x af - 99fps it stops at i dont know why doesnt go up or down just 99

last but not least...

MAFIA 1600 x 1200 6x aa 16x af - 70 fps constand game looks beatiful i had to seriosuly tweak my system hardcore to get this stuffat this rate i just built a gaming machine the real record breaker coming in 2 3 months maybe earlier

Wow, I'm really surprised you guys can run games or benchmarks at those speeds.

When he first mentionned "loading windows" at 4.9ghz I just though running any benchmark for more than a few seconds would make it crash or shut down.


Personally, I think since my old power source unit was bad, windows would shut down if I overclocked my CPU even by 100 mhz...I bought a 350 watt ATX one two days ago so I'll overclocking a little again...Then again, with my RAM and mother board, even a couple of hundred mhz should be good. :P

ive just got my P4 2.4C @ 3.0ghz with stock hs/fan and no uppage of voltages. going conservative. its truly "free" extra mhz cause i havn't spent anything on cooling, etc. My first OC'd system and conservative is where i'll stay for now. now GAWK AT MY L33TneSS! lol. Later
