Video card sucks....any decent gamming system should at least have a ATI 9500, they apear as cheap as 113 in pricewatch.
Whiuot a decent card he won't be able to play recent games like Halo or Halflife2. Sell your video card in Ebay. Tell him to get some more $$ and get him a ATI 9500. That's what I would do for a buddy ![]() All other parts are good. |

Not shabby at all, just that weak link in the vid card, but it sounds like he understands what's up there.
At the very least, with a setup like that, he is in good shape for later upgrades.

That's the same setup as I run. You can quickly and easily overclock it to a 3200 just by selecting 3200 in the BIOS. You may need to up the voltage a bit to keep it stable and an upgraded CPU fan but mine runs great, a massive saving in cash too! Like everyone else said the GFX card is the bottleneck, I have a 4600Ti at the moment and it's holding my system back loads. :nxs:
