the sims double deluxe install problem

i'm having a hard time installing the sime double deluxe. it does not let me choose were i want the program to go in the begging and it keeps on telling me i have a componet transfer error. please help so my wife will get off my back.

if there is a meesage about component transfer error during the installation process, that means the cd is broken, i think. because i also have the same problem but with a different game. do u have a warrenty for the game??? u know to exchange the game with something else???

i need help!!! i cant get the house party to work. it just says enter correct disc when i have the house party disc in the drive

do you have any cd emulation software (like DAEMON TOOLS, etc) running?
This could cause some cd reading problems. Otherwise I would try install it from a different drive. and check the cd, maybe it's dirty or so..
