Microstar GF FX5200 128MB Video card?

I can get a Microstar FX5200 128MB for $72 but i have never heard of it and I am not sure. Can anyone vouch for "Microstar"? Sounds kind of crappy to me but I am looking for a 128 MB card for a cheap price. Let me know what you guys think!

They are not good, and the Fx5200 is a No NO for many reasons, if your gonna go with Nvidia on a budget, get an Fx5600 Ultra

How come a radeon 9600pro 128MB card is close to $200 and a "microstar" 128MB video card is $70? Whats with the price difference? Is it just because Radeon is a name brand that its more expensive?

Also, is the memory the most important part of the video card?

ATi is 10x better, faster and more stable then Nvidia !

go with an ati 9500pro (if ur lucky enough to get one) or take an ti4200
the 5200 line sucks and the radeon 9200 are crappy too
and its not the memory that makes a vidcard working good, its the gpu witch do that
the tiÂ´s are about 100â‚¬ (take one with 64mb ram they are much faster as the 128mb boards cuz they where equiped with cheaper memory)

I am confused. In other posts on this board, some people say that radeon sucks, but then other people say nvidia sucks.

Right now I have a Diamond Viper V770 64MB. It plays games well if I keep everything at conservative levels. I need a new card for sure since I got this one back in '99.

I had my eye on a Radeon9600Pro 128MB or a Nvidia Asylum 5600Ultra 128MB. Which one should I get?

I also hear good things about ATi, can I get some links to reviews of it maybe? Thanks. In the meantime, I'll be hunting for reviews myself.

Radeon 9600pro is the best of the pair. ATI makes it, btw.

Unless that 5600U is the one with 400Mhz Core 800Mhz memory. Then the 9600Pro and the Ultra flip chip would be about equal in terms of performance.
