Amd Althon Xp 2600+, MMX, 3Dnow, ~2.1 ghz?

The main reason for this is because my pc is total Fu**ed , games like fifa 2003 are laggy and halo , and mohaa spearhead breakthrough etc.

is there any thing wrong with these setting at the top? im only getting 30 fps in fifa 2003 demo with high setting , but with ati 9700 pro and 2.1 ghz with 512 ddr ram, U would think it would run great, im am so angrey about this, i need some help please

Okay are you trying to tell me you get 30 fps on fifa 2003 , WTF , and halo is the same when other people can paly the games it must be some wrong with my pc setting or something?

MMX always equals CRAP (e.g. geforce 4 mmx 440 = CRAP) Don't be fooled by a name and first check things out on the net.

Before i bought my pc i went and took a look at Tom's Hardware very very handy.

Or just check for new drivers that might help.

i dunno i got a xp altlon ~2.1 ghz they told me in the savastore that it would run everything i went through the game with them too and asked if they would run ok , and they said yes, why is this processor not good ?? and i got from www.savastore.com
and it never said mmx on the box or any where so how do i know wot im buying?

can u please tell me wot processor i should get for performance i cant get intel P4 my motherboard dont support it.

mmx is a "technology" if you will that was introduced back with the 166mhz cpus. it basically makes multimedia stuff go faster, which is good.

mx is definitely not the same thing, because it's just a name that nvidia gives their crappiest vid cards, like Geforce 4 MX. MX cards are slower, have fewer abilities (like pixel shaders), but cost a lot less. Even today you still find mx cards in certain dell pcs, and probably in several other. Avoid like the plague unless you're on a really tight budget
