reporting details

This error report includes: information regrading the condition of Generic Host Process For Win32 Services when the problem occurred, the operating system version and computer hardware in use, and the internet protocol (IP) address of your computer.

Cheers & thanks in advance.

svchost.exe runs a lot of system services so it's nigh impossible to tell what's causing the problem from what you have posted.

Got XP completely patched and upto date?
Tried running a full system virus scan? (housecall.antivirus.com for a free online one)
All drivers upto date?

Hope this helps.

When you reinstalled the OS, did you format you hdd before ?

if your version of win xp is a copy, er... find another one... :Oo: and try this one...

Otherwise install the service pack, check knowledge database on microsoft's website

Also check if the problem appears when all your network hardware is unplugged (modem, lan, etc.)
