Firestarter demo problem

hi
i'm running windows 2003 serv and the game keeps crushing even before it gets to main menu... on the beautiful blue screen... Anyone had the same problem ?

god damn it.. the game still crashes after installing the patch.. but i've read that this demo runs only on XP.. could that be the problem ?
