yeah way back when ati released its 9700pro, nvidia needed to release a vid card to "claim" as an equivalent, but all they put out was a piece of shit card that wasn't worth a damn, the GF5200FX, i dunno why you have haste towards ati, i've never heard of your claims about patching games for ati specific problems, nor do i understand your loyalty to a company filled with bs and jargan to get consumers on their bandwagon

yea, you may say that nvidia has better benchmark scores in the more recent vid card tests, but wait, after a solid look through nvidia's drivers it was determined that nvidia was "cheating", yea, basically the card doesn't render what you don't see, which is great for any type of benchmark test you plan on putting it through, but bring it to the real world, where the card isn't running on a drone program and you'd notice that ati would blow them away, answer me this, if you are so loyal to nvidia, and think "the way its meant to be played" means that nvidia cards handle those games better, then why would a company like ATI be able to outperform nvidia cards in every shape and matter on the ut2k3 game? i got an answer, just a lil more jargan for ppl who believe everything they read

one more thing, i have an ati 9800pro, but before that i had a GF4200Ti and figured i would be loyal to nvidia for a while also, i'm not saying i am completely against nvidia, but i am against how they market their vid cards, the fued between ati and nvidia is more like a lopsided political election, nvidia with superior resources wastes time and money on putting out info on why ati is bad, rather than putting that money into their cards to fix issues that some of their newest drivers have with dx9, to sum up nvidia, wouldn't it be a joy to pay 500 dollars for a video card, that has the same dx9 performance as a 150 dollar model, hmmm, NO, all that i am saying is, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, never be loyal to a single brand, because that is when the companies get you ;)

Here's a technical conundrum for the hardware wizards out there. I've been the happy owner of a GF3Ti500 for the past couple of years, but recently the fan began "chugging" and it had problems with the latest set of drivers, so i decided it was time to retire the old boy. And so i did. Since this was only going to be a temporary replacement card until i decided to upgrade my system, i went with an ultra cheap card from Aopen, a GeForceFX5200. Sporting 128mb of DDR RAM, as well as the FX architecture i figured it should atleast be an equal with the old card. It isn't. Not by a LONG shot.

So here's my question: Why in the nine hells is a card with twice the memory, better drivers and an enhanced design running worse than a 2-3 year old card? :bucky!:
I have geForce3 Ti200 with 64 MB DDR. In 3DMark, this card give me 5700 and FX5200 just 5200 B)

All games run on my radeon 9800pro, and i have finished most of them with NO problems long before the Ati patches come out.
