My brother just gave me his old mobo being that he just bought a new rig. The mobo is a MSI K7T266 Pro2, I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this particular mobo and would be able to fill me in on its gaming potential. Oh and BTW it came with an Athlon1900 and 748megs of RAM already on the board. Any input?
Being that it was free let it be known that I ain't afraid to overclock the hell outta any and everything. True I have never overclocked anything before (guess I'm a n00b biotch) but I must start somewhere.
I have an older version from the same series, MSI6330. Was pretty cheap when I bought it. What I can say about mine, is that it's a pretty stable mobo, not the best for overclocking (I tried :P), but pretty reliable (considering it worked fine on my PC for over 2 years now)
So what I'm hearing is that it'll make a decent gaming rig but don't try to overclock it too much? Thats still ok, even with the old CPU and RAM I'll bet it'll still run nice with a Radeon9800Pro, thanks for the info.
