Hey guys just Ive decided to get x box live(mainly because most of my mates have it) and have a couple of questions.Do any of you lot have it and is it any good and I currently use freeserve broadband for my pc,will i be able to just plug the x box into the phoneline and use it or will I need some kind of modem or router(whatever it's called)?Sorry if this is the wrong forum,thanks.

dude X-Box notice the caps dont forget that. And X-Box live kicks major ass its really good except if u ahve dsl which i have rite now cause u have to buy something else to be able to play so get it, its really really worth the price. :thumbup:

You mentioned you were using "freeserve broadband" so this implies you have a NIC and a cable or dsl modem. You DO NOT need anything else. I have DSL and all you have to do is run a Cat5 cable from the back of your computer (NIC) directly to the cable or DSL modem.
NIC = Network Interface Card Cat5 = thick cable with a big-telephone-jack-style-plug Hope this helps.

Purchase a NIC and a decent Cat5 cable and you will be ready to go. If you have a good connection and you would enjoy playing XBOX with other people, then, yes XBOX Live is definately worth every penny. Good luck to ya.
