Hey guys I'm trying to set up my pc to allow internet connection sharing but ive encountered a problem.I'm following advice from another site and it tells me to do this....
"Under Internet Connection Sharing, click the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection check box. My problem is that I cant see this option, the only option there is.... "Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the internet" Does anybody know what the problem is or what I could be doing wrong?Do I need to put my network card in first with the software for this option to appear?I am using an alcatel speedtouch usb modem that you get with freeserve broadband, perhaps this modem is not compatible with ics? Thanks |

Hey Dans
You're using XP right? If so, go to Start > Settings > Network Connections Then right click on the entry for Freeserver Broadband. Then hit 'properties'. In the properties page, click 'advanced'. Under 'Internet Connection Sharing' check 'Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection'. Hope this helps. |
