Okay guys, here's the problem. I just got Midnight Club 2 for PC, and even though my computer has the recomended requirements for the game, it will not run. It will open up, go through from the intro to my name and such, but when I attempt to race and such, it crashes. Seems to me like my computer can't take it, but I know it can, as it has run more complex games and programs and the like than Midnight Club 2 :Oo: . Think I should take it back or..what? Any sort of feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, here goes. Unlike most of you, I'm not a real expert on computers and such, but I know enough to make them work, lol. Anyway, my computer kinda sucks, but here you go:

Genuinelntel
Pentium®2 processor
256.0MB RAM
Rage Fury Pro/Xpert 2000 Pro (english)
32 bit color

And I got about 20000 MB of free hard disk space.

Maybe it's my vide card, I dunno. Or maybe it's something completly different that I overlooked. Help would be nice. Thanks guys.

hey well it seems your comp is to weak for it but it might work but the framrate will be unbearableeven on low more then likely. i say also update your ati video card drivers to 3.10 and see wht happens then your processor is a pentium 2 thats pretty old now a days for any game that came out last year i think just about all official licensed pc games at least required a pentuim 3 or 4!
its your processor and video card tr updating the drivers from ati.com then if it still doesnt work get a new system which i think you need one or take the game back or both your processor and video card r very old technelogy! reply back!
peace!

Sorry, I meant Pentium 3. But anyway, it is the video card, so I will have to either upgrade it or something. I won't have this thing for much longer, as I am moving out in a month. For a good computer that can handle games like Midnight Club 2, what would you suggest? And what would you suggest for video cards and the like as well?

hey again here is some stuff i suggest,

video card- at least a , geforce fx 5700 or radeon 9600 pro or 9500 pro (which you will not find anywhere too much except ebay and very few stores) 9500 pro is better then 9600 pro though its stupid but it is! thats at the least! i say go for a 9700 pro geforce fx 5900 non ultra or 9800 non pro which are pretty cheap now. if u got over $250 to spend for a video card well get a radeon 9800 pro 128mb there 300$ now at most places and even under $280 at one or two places i have one of these!

processer- i say pentuim forget amd. best buy with performance probably right now is 2.6 ghz pentuim 4 800 mhz fsb. even a 2.8ghz isnt too bad on $.

motherboard- i say 865 chipset motherboards any 865 boards from these companies (depnding on which u can afford) msi neo 865 motherboard, a abit 865 motherboard or a asus 865 motherboad, there are multiple boards in them catogories for each of them ranging from 80$ to 150$ or so. so pick the one u can afford! they will support your processor of course and video card!

memory- i think all of those boards support ddr 400 so at least get ddr 400 memory(get a little higher like ddr 433 if u wanna overclock a ecent amount but some ddr 400's overclock well!). i say at least 512mb but if u can't afford it get 256mb no lower then that though and also get 2 sticks so u can enable dual channel mode like if u r gonna get 512mb get 2 256 mb sticks that are the same memory so u can enable dual channel! ok brands i say geil, kingston, ocz or other top brand names!

sound- if u wanna save some money use the onboard sound that most of those boards come with i use it for my msi neo 2 865 pe board and it works great with the latest driver! i have 5.1 speakers and it supports it too! but if u want a sound card i would say any of the soundblaster audigy's, but onboard audio is working great for me!

hard drive- i would say at least 80gb but 120 gb or above would be better! ide hard drives are cheaper and r very good but serial hard drives are a little better but usually smaller and cost alot more then ide hd's. so if u have the money to blow get a serial but a big one will be very expensive or get a ide 120 gb or so for about 100$ or a little more which are definitlly fast enough and for ide get at least ata 100. i say western digital or maxtor or seagate hard drives id go with western digital though!

power supply- make sure the rails are at least probably 18a on the 12v and i say no lower then 350 watt power supply but a 400 or above would b better. if u get a atx motherboard with atx case make sure the power supply is atx! i suggest getting all of those atx form factor!

ok well there u go man peace!
