hey, i play counter-strike and usually get about 60 fps but recently i turned vsync off and now i get 100 fps. but the graphics r worse not like color wise or anyhting but i get tearing and is skips a lil (cant really notice but i can) im just wondering if its normal or if my computer has something to do with it.

My computer specs(i dont know the details but its brief)

p4 2.66 ghz w/ HT
768 mb ddr ram
Geforce fx 5200 128mb(herd it was bad but works fine for what i play)
80 gig hard drive

Vsync is supposed to make the graphics look smooth. So it is normal that it does these things. (better get this confirmed by an expert... :Oo: )

I think V-Sync prevents what you are seeing with V-Sync off, basically it prevents tearing of frames and such, smoothens it out
