Is it 256megs? Or is it 512? Just curious? Im getting ready to buy a new card. If they are going to hit the 512 spot... I'll wait.

why would he? it has been stated that he's a game developer, someone who's likely to actually get something like that. Sure it sounds like a lot, but keep in mind that the r420 got 2-3 times what other high-end cards got in colin mcrae 4. It's easy to say that this might just be a ati optimized benchmark made to impress geeks like us, but there IS a certain trend here (first doom, then colin mcrae). I guess we'll know for sure when cebit starts.
