New ATI Cards...

Well my company yesterday recieved some beta graphics cards from ATI based on their new chipset. I cant go into much detail since im behind a NDA but I can say that Nvidia has to do ALOT to compare to this card...

ATI is sponsering our upcoming title so you can expect us to take advantage of its power

PS: Just as a comparison we were able to run the Doom 3 Alpha at an average of 90FPS at 1600x1200 on my work machine, hehe...

So, do you know what the prices of these new cards are gonna be starting at?... Or does the NDA hold you from blabbing?

No clue on prices since we got ours for free. Im going to guess 500 for top of the line (one we got) and maybe 350 or 400 for the next in line with a buget card around 250 - 300...

Now I gotta get rdy for work... gonna be late but I wanted to play abit of NFS:U...

i am now officially envious of magus

sounds like an awesome card, but im sure the nv40 will kick some butt too, with its pretty insane bandwidth, and hopefully much improved directx support

they're both due in march, so there'll be some interesting months ahead.

btw, what company do you work for? i promise we won't prank call

much :P

I work for SS, Its a pretty big developer and they have a pretty big hyped up game releasing soon (not the one im working on). You guess the name
