OK, if by Offshore you meen 'out of the UK Mainland... from another country- you could have your PSU trying to detect a current of 180v, which is the standdard in some countrys, but in the UK its 240v..

Tis' all i can see that is wrong,... and if you are dead posertive that all the components SHOULD be compatible, start swapping things abot with a friend, like for instance, swap the PSU round with another one, and see if it works without funny lines, and then swap the ram... swap the video card etc.

The thing ur talking 'bout is called VOLTAGE.

Current is measured in ampere, not in volt.

Dont confuse the guy more than he already is. :Oo:

if the voltage wasn't right it'd be fubar, but i'm suspecting something's wrong with the vidcard, so start by trying another, and if it's still weird make sure the jet 7 cooler is mounted properly.

The power supply does produce voltage.

My guess is that the little red switch on the back of the
power supply is set to 120v, not the UK's 220volt standard
just flip the red switch thingy on the back of the power
supply and u should be good.

lol...

if you want to be technical the ps does not produce power, it converts power from yours house line to fit the pc's needs, if that was his problem, there's no way it would even boot up, could still be a vid problem, but not a problem of getting one for the wrong voltage. try like the rest said and swap video cards, and if you still got the problem try switching everything else. Building and or even upgradings turns into a nightmare 95% of the time, so don't feel like an idiot.
