Thanks for the list Barney. I would like to wait for the next generation of video cards but I am positive I will be ready for business before May or April.
ccsmoke, Dell dropped the outsourcing to India because too many customers complained that they could not understand them through their accents. There are several articles about this issue. I am sure if you did a search on Yahoo, you would find a couple. I will troubleshoot most of the software or hardware issues myself. I am very capable. The reason I like Dell is because they offer Next Business Day Onsite Service so if one of my hard drives crash or something goes wrong with a memory module, Dell will be at my place of business the next day to fix it. I am very familiar with Dell's Onsite Service and I know it is worth it. I used to own a notebook built by Dell and the screen took a shit. Dell sent someone the next day and they replaced the screen right in front of me. That is good enough for me.

In regards to you troubleshooting your own problems; I was going to comment that if you REALLY need technical support from Dell THAT MUCH (not warranty/replacements stuff etc) then maybe you shouldn't be doing this. Glad to see you have that covered though. |
