ok, i'm really sorry to bother you guys with this, but I tried everything. So, this is the story:
my boss told me to re-install one of the PCs. "no problem" I said and was off. It's an old machine, so Win98SE should do. But it won't install any driver for the PCI Fast Ethernet! Just keeps tellin' me "No driver found". Ergo I can't install anything from the internet, because the damn network isn't working. I tried installing the drivers from Win98, Win98SE, Win2k, none would work. The official CD - of course - didn't work either. My network adapter: NetNIC 100P 10/100 Mbit Fast Ethernet Adapter "DRN-32TX". Won't say anything useful in the manual either. I'd be really ratfeul for any help. Greets, Majestic. |

Thanks. I just wanted to say at this point how much I appreciate GH and it's community. Excellent site.
I made it work like 2 minutes before seeing your response, thanks again. It was some shitty driver prob, just didn't find the right one, now it's fine. Greets, Majestic. |
