cym, you can build an Athlon64 system with $700? Make some room for me in Bulgaria. I am coming over.
He-he.Why not? Come over here, and we will make something for you. ;)
In fact, I was thinking of 1000 bucks, because PlatoonSgtElias made mantion of 1000$. Mistake..

what else you wanna know. What configorations u wanna know about it?
What sort of model is the video card? The mobo, and the memory?

P.S. Anyways, Orion:
3000+ - 300$
K8N - 100$
512/400 Kingston - 100$
BBA 9600P - 160$
For the rest of the money - cooler, ups, case..etc. Or maybe you can take a little but slower video card, memory and a HDD. You see? Bulgaria isn't so poor after all. B)

Regards. Andrew.

NewGamersHell, please post a link to the deal you saw. Also do you know which chipset? 865 or 875? Would you be able to build your own system?

:Oo:

9600XT Sapphire - 150$? Here this sort of model is 200$, and the 3000+ is 300$, we don't have any Enermax PSU and OCZ.

The dude maybe don't want ot o/c his new pc. What about a A64 3000+ system? A mobo like K8NPRO and a 5900XT, and for the rest of the money 512/400 Mushkin L-2, F700P, Forton 350W...remain ~150$ for cooler, HDD...

Regards. Andrew.
a 5900XT? since when is nVIDIA copying ATI's XT brand? :P

he could build one like $100 cheaper at least if he went with a barton 2500+ and compatible mobo

of course, then its not 64-bit, but hey... :P

I'd advise against the nForce mobo for the 64. VIA is the way to go right now. I suggest the K8V Deluxe, because I have it and it works.
