For 700$ you can fit a powerfull machine. So tell me about it? What kind of parts you need (Nvidia FX, Ati, P4 etc.)?

There is a bench program called 3D Mark 2001. The worlds popular is the 2001 version and the 2003. There are 4 (compulsory, or 3) game tests. Making a good framerate on the tests will score your final result - 3D Marks(better or worse).
You can check the official page of the benchmark:

Regards. Andrew.

Sorry for my bad english.

my points will be low so i dont think there is a need for me to do a test. Here is My PC

Hp Pavillion Pentium 3
633 MHz
only a 32mb graphics card (I want to play call of duty but i cant. it takes no less then 64mb)
256 mb
CD-RW/DVD player

I dont know what else to say but it sucks. I will say this. I goes pretty fast though.

There is a computer for alittle more then $400, Thats not including the monator. Just the Computer itsself. But it has 800 bus speed, 128mb Radion graphics card. Pentium 4. Its a HP. Max Memory is 2GB, Installed is 512, 2.8ghz upgradable to 3.2 ghz Video out is APG8x Hard drive is 160mb and it has a DVD/Rw 8x and CD52x/RW20x or somthing like that

Should i just do that or upgrade my computer i have now. I dont know what mine is able to upgrade because i dont see the code on the mother board. Its suppose to be in big white letters but i only see one thing like that and it wont come up on the HP website. So. Let me know. thanx

You are right, you cannot upgrade your PC with much better components, because the mobo is an old one.
I suggest...hm let's see... Yes the final reviosions of P4 have a 800Mhz Front Side Bus. This is not the real cpu's frequency. I think this P4 is on 2.6Ghz. I don't know very well you market and prices...I'm in Bulgaria.
Can you see again the FULL configoration of the PC which you want to buy or give me a link so I can take a look?

Regards. Andrew.

Anyway with 1000$ you could get something like this:
donno bout the prices where you live though

AmdXp2500+
1GB PC3200 Kingston HyperX CL2
Epox8RDA3+
1 or 2x120GB 7200/8mb SATA RAID
ATI9800XT perhaps or ATI9800PRO
17" Monitor
and some cdrw keyboard and other minor things.
The AmdXp2500+ you could OC to 3200+ easyly

The dude maybe don't want ot o/c his new pc. What about a A64 3000+ system? A mobo like K8NPRO and a 5900XT, and for the rest of the money 512/400 Mushkin L-2, F700P, Forton 350W...remain ~150$ for cooler, HDD...

NewGamersHell, I would not recommend buying another HP. Not because it is not a good deal or because HP is poor quality, but because the chipset is probably old and your options for upgradeability are limited. I would invest $700 in a good motherboard, some good RAM, and a processor. You could always upgrade the rest of the components later.

cym, you can build an Athlon64 system with $700? Make some room for me in Bulgaria. I am coming over.

I am already up to $354 with just the motherboard and the CPU.

the computer itself would only cost $395 free shipping. With tax it will be around $470, I am not getting the Monator or anything else with it because i dont need it right now. Should i check out dells stuff and see what they got around the same price? I know HP's kinda suck but i have a HP and it is going pretty good for some reason. You know my much my hard drive holds?? only 19mb. Yea, SUCKSSSSSS!!!!!! but for some reason like i said. It goes fast. I want to game alot, Like call of duty and stuff. But all i got right now is Starcraft Broodwar. And a bunch of music and movies so,
