I know HP's arent that good and all but i am trying it. It comes with a 2 year warranty.

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
512 DDR SDram memory (Upgradable to 4gb) have 4 slots
800 frt bus speed
64mb Radion
video output interface AGP8x
120 mb hard drive
DVDR-RW/CDR-RW

This is all it says about the computer. It says that it is upgradeable to 160mb hard drive for $75 more. I would have done it but dont have much money.

first thing you want to do is to rip out that 64mb radeon and replace it with a 128mb radeon 9600xt, that'll give you a pretty major speed boost.

the rest looks fine

movies don't go faster if you get a new vidcard ;)

some video cards do have features that improve the image quality of streamed video over the internet, and some videocards have dedicated mpeg2 (dvd) decoders, which also helps, but that's about it.

im assuming you want really nice gaming performance, so you're doing a smart move by going with a new card.

Also, it's radeon, not radion, heh

that configuration looks fine to me... though i would rather just build it myself :P

it might be worthwhile to get some better memory, they probably give you PC2100... Corsair XMS4000 might go nicely with that system
