Hi!

I will maybe buy some new parts for my computer. This is the parts:

AMD Athlon XP2500+ 1.833 GHz BOXED
MSI K7D Master-L Moderkort Socket A, MP

I already have a 2500 but my friend says that it won't work and that i need a MEGA tweaked Linux to get it to work. I have Win Xp now but it will work in that OS right?

your friend is an asshat, sorry. it'll work fine in windows and linux.

give him a whack and tell him i said he should unplug whatever computer equipment he has

im sure you're making a nice choice going with the msi card. im assuming you're getting a mp card to do stuff like video editing or whatever, because two cpus don't make all that much of a difference. also, you could probably be getting very close to the performance by going with a board like a abit nf7-s and a barton 2800+

ok so it won't go better in games and installation and so on? Because im probaly getting a Asus Radeon 9800 Xt and get Hl2 with it
