No, ive never thaught about it, ive always known nVidia have enogugh money to sponsor game dev's to optimize games for nVidia, and in any case, it just brings nVidia cards on par with Ati ones on benchmarks

Nvidia buy into games to try and keep their standing on the market that way, ATI on the other hand have not bought into games and yet they still are gettin the best foothold in the market, look at the way the poll about this has gone, are ATI winnin out, yep, have they bought into games, no. If yer guna argue the point about HL2 being all over ATI the simple answer to that is, when the benchmarking for the game was done the ATI cards won out and so Valve wanted sponsoring from a decent card, not sum fake which makes the gforce 4 mx said to be a great card then only to find out the actual chip is gforce 2!

Idiot oh well if u like the fairy, fairy boy, then stick with em, but for me i like fragging power on games not how well is my paint program guna wrk!

exactly what col. carnage said, word for word, nvidia has there "re-education" methods for novice gamers. Kinda like communism, but in a more futuristic way (i dont know what im talking about...)-but anyway-im extremely happy that ATI hasnt bought into all the advertising b/c it makes them extremely unique in thier product quality-they put all of their time into making kickass cards with nvidia woopin powers.-rather than making false ads that their cards are the "way to be played"

Ok fair enuff on the driver side of things sayin that the dets are better than the cats, but, i was only talkin from personal experience. To be honest i havnt found any probs with cat drivers i used in any of my games apart from one set (cant remember exactly which ones) caused the landscape in C&C Generals to 'dissapear'

That happened to my friend, and he has an Nvidia card. I do not believe this is card specific.

No, i am not an ATI fanboy, the 9800 Pro 256 is the first card i have ever owned that was not from Nvidia.
It just performs better with higher image quality in DX9 games that use shaders.

AMD Athlon XP 2200
512Mb PC2700 DDR
ATI Radeon 9800 (256Mb AGP 8x)
