Yea, mine is a Sapphire. It runs Far Cry on just short of full everything and all other games on full. Plus it was the cheapest of all the manufacteres. But Ive had problems with image quality effects like anti-aliasing and aniso filtering, plus it will hardly overclock before getting graphical defects. Ive heard the same from others about Sapphire cards. And Ive heard good things about Asus and ATIs own cards, however ATIs are expensive.
My Sapphire works great for all the latest games, and pretty much whatever manufacturer you go for, a 9800 pro is gonna kick some ass. And they're a reasonable price around now compared to an XT. Personally if I could swap mine for an Asus or ATI, I would just to test the difference. But Id imagine its minimal. |

far cry demo ran perfectly on my radeon 7000\64megs never herd of it, it's ancient but it can't run the far cry game for shit the reason your radeons can't run far cry at full effects is because ubi made sure the radeons couldn't not because the game far cry looks so nice! they want thse crappy nvida cards with worser performance to run better because they have better combatability with the games because nvida bought in to them. the reason my card could play the demo was so people with radeons would still buy far cry i now have a newer card though.
i have heard the 9800 running farcry perfect though  |
