far cry patch 1.1 doesn't work ????

when i tried to pathc far cry it didn't work and an error message tells me that i have to install the game before i patch it although it's already installed

ps: i wanted to patch the game because my old 17 inch crt hitachi goes to suspend mode right after the load screen finishes and the monitor tells me that the input signal is out of range , i know i have to update to the latest monitor drivers but this monitor is discontinued ,, so how can i fix this problem ???

please help

Are you sure you don't have your video card set up for digital out? It cause that same error message for me once.

Well installed it and didn't got any problems
Weird but thats always the risk with patching stuff

maybe you have the warez version, try making a .iso fo the cd and install it again :P :P :P

sounds like a gfx problem, try finding your farcry config file and delete it,
this should set the gfx back on normal,
I had to do the same thing on my mates pc,
sorry cant remember what file name it was..
