could it have been a virus?
when i had 98 i used kazaa and i got this old but lethal virus...that shit crawled throughout my system in a couple days...had to format the shit u have an anti-virus dont u?

I got one 40 gb western digital and one 120 gb western digital both with 8mb cache and 7200 rpm and been both working fine for 1 year. Doug's put the drive in the fridge idea might fix your problem ddr.
 But usually you should always get a drive with atleast a year manufacturer's warranty. My friend had a problem similar to the one you describe, all he did was unplug drive and plug back in.

Nope ive tried everything(my friend has same problem but drive is livin)
i changed it to Samsung! :thumbup: :thumbup: samsung is super much better!!Temperature is lower then seagate and noise is lower too! no clicks no other stuff!JUST GOOD STABLE WORK! :thumbup: |
