i installed Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow successfully....but when i ran the Game Configurator & Diagnosis System check for the game...it brought up a checklist showing which ones were ok (i.e. video card (check), win 98 or better (check) etc...) but there is a part that sayd "Required Pixel Shader Support / Inadequate Pixel Shader Support Detected" and there was a Red X next to it...what do i have to do...or what can i download to get better Pixel Shader Support? The game will not start until i have better pixel shader support. I have no idea what pixel shader is supposed to do or what not....can someone help?
By the way: I have a NVIDIA GeForce MX400, runnning with 128 video memory, and i have direct x 9.0 (i thought direct x9.0 had pixel shader 2.0 or something) and running on a resolution of 1024 x 768

Isent this something for Gamer's Help(or mayby Hardware)
But for asfare as i know a Geforce 4 mx(i gues you mean that one) doesent support Direct x9(B) fully,
so it doesent support pixel shader(atleast that's what i thought)

pixel shader is an integral part of the graphics core technology, which in this case, happens to be version 2.0, which has a ton more detail and complex instructions as far as rendering and light maps are concerened, than 1.0, which your mx is based on, basically, your card can't handle the required tech of the game to run properly...i think you need a new vid card

The Splinter Cell website says that that it requires at least a Radeon 8500 or Geforce 3 minimum. and that the GeForce 4MX and GeForce 4Go are not supported.

It Also says in the Installation That the NVIDIA GeForce MX400 is not suported by the game
so theyre right you need a new card
i have an old card 2 a ti4200
wich seems to run it fine though
but not on full detail
if i go for a new card i'm going For a Ati Radeon 9800 pro
