far cry probs

im having problems with far cry freezing. does anyone have any suggestions?
btw running AMD Athlon 2200+ 1.8ghz 512mb ram 128mb vid card

might be a problem with your cooling, or your ram

probably sounds obvious but the 1.1 patch 4 far cry and also try getting the most up 2 date drivers for your graphics card

i had far cry crashing and i found out that it was due to my gfx card over heating. i have to take the side of the case off whenever i play it until i can be bothered to get off my arse and get the card replaced :P

Dop3-Fi$H - Do you realy think that the 1.1 patch for Far Cry or the Graphic Drivers is the probelm when his card is overheated? You got to be jooking right?

Something in you system have a very high working temperature, :rant:
Or the chasie doesn't let out the amount of warm air, and get new freash air, that it should be.

I had a probelm ones, when I played 3D games my computer switched off after been powered on for more then 30min. I found out that it was my Motherboard that was broken and overheated my CPU when there was a application that made the CPU work overtime. So it doesn't have to be the Graphic card at all.

Though Far Cry is not the best game to test if Graphic card is working propelly,

not if you have an GForce FX that is. The game game runs very bad on it, I know, I have one my self, and nothing, (and I mean NOTHING!!)

Helps, to make the game work white everything set to High, it's not that it laggs, no, it shows starnge textures and watereffekts, well se for your self at this homemade site for the problem. (as followed)
