48 hours to go until I get my new gfx card

Why don't you guys wait and buys the Nv40?? I may do that if I don't buy a new CPU and mobo

I buy a new graphics card at least once a year, so next year I will look at another card to get. Since 2002 I have had an Nvidia Geforce4 4600Ti, Nvidia GeforceFX 5900 Ultra and now this ATI card. I want to change and i am in a lucky financial situation to get one now. I want to play at 1280x1024 at fluid framerates and my current card struggles at times, especially in Deus Ex 2, Hitman: Contracts (with max post-filter) and other fill-rate heavy games.

Powercolour are ok, but not brilliant, but its the only one I can get hold of this week, so thats why I chose it. I will write a review and let you guys know how it compares to my 5900 Ultra... Just give me a while to play some games on it!

Well, as you know i am gnna buy the x800XT

And i'we seen the card in the UK ( At http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ ) And from my calculations i will save around 1000 Danish kr. if i buy it from the UK .. And thats a whole lot !

But, then i'm so unsure about Tax, Vat or whatever its called ... Instead of saving, i might lose money.

ANyone have any experiences ordering from foreign countries ? Thanks

Yea m8 ive ordered some games from abroad and the customs will take your money if the value is over a limit they set.. here its 100 bucks
if you go over 100 ull pay 20 bucks more... biatches!

I would consider writing a review on the unit, but some geezer on hardware hell has written a top dollar review on it already...

Anyway,

OMFG! This card is a powerhorse of a unit!

I am running Powercolor's version of the latest catalyst driver BTW. Currently NOT overclocking the VPU and GDDR3 as I am letting this little baby settle in its slot for a while, hoping it gets a feeling for my OC'ed mobo and CPU's.

Anyway, brief post, as I am currently enjoying farcry at challenging level @1280x1024 (Maxed Settings) 8x Anisotropic and High Anti-Aliasing at well over twice the framerate of my old Nvidia GeforceFX 5900 Ultra!! Oh and the image quality, even on the desktop, is far superior to my old nvidia unit... 'I'm lovin it!'

Oh and that Ruby Tech demo runs like a queer with a brick up his arse! It has to be seen to be believed... Absolutely amazing graphics at an my native resolution after I editted the sushi.ini.

Interman, what do you reckon of yours then m8?

great card i'm jealous and all that but i think it's wise to save your money because we're gonna have PCI Express REAL SOON and that's where the GOOD GRAPHICS ARE HEADED!
