Hey my freinds from hell
B) Well, i got a slight problem .. Well more of an annoyance  it all started when i added my S-ATA HD from maxtor. Every time i start my PC, XP ( PRO ) pops up and say "New hardware detected" IDE-Channel ( In Danish, IDE-Kanal ) 2 times, And when it searches for drivers it finds nothing and boom ... Nothing to do Do i have to download any special drivers or what ? Please help, its so god damn annoying :nxs: Thanks  PS: Did not know if i should post this in hardware or here since, its more driver related

heres the trick XLS:you gotta format that SATA hd first and Maxtor got this lovely tool available Max Blast download this .iso image file Burn it on CD its bootable.set your 1st bootup device on CD-ROM in your bios then restart, max blast loads up lets you format the SATA hd swift n easy with its user friendly interface.
asks you if you want to add this hd as extra capacity to your existing operatingsystem(hard drive) or format it as a stand alone hd.answer it! if i were you i would have put my operating system on SATA to get to load the WinXP fast on SATA instead of slow IDE.that means a re-install f your whole WinXP. youre WinXP is on NTFS isnt it.if not dont forget to switch your whole HD's to that great improvement will be on the way. and if you've tried and installed your WinXP on your SATA HD dont forget to assign your first boot device to SCSI in your bios. still no plans for raid?cuz that may bring up another issues as well.

Thanks zoltrix
But, there is a minor problem .. I got alot of important stuff on that Drive .. ( More than 50 GB's *whistle* ) And it works fine and all, but the only thing annoying me is the message XP keeps saying everytime i start the computer. But if there are no other way, i might have to follow you're little guide So, any other solutions than formatting guys ? Thanks for the replies so far

Cheap solution yaaa !
.... NOOOOOT ![]() You do realise i got a million games installed, and applications too I cant burn those on CD's or DVD's I would have to install them all again because of the windows reg keys. And i formatted not so long ago, it took me weeks to get it all setup right and i dont wanna go trough that again. I just wanna know how to make the windows pop-up go away. It works perfect but its so f*cking annoying to keep pressing "Done" ... "Done" ... "yes" .... On each startup
