Does anybody know any tweaks for bf1942 or any console commands to speed up the game?

And i also have another problem when i start batt1942 the game crashes and goes back to desktop.
I moded the DEAFULTVIDEO.CON and moded line allrefreshrates to 1 to support refresh rates over 60hz but the game still doesnt work please help.............................................. .....

I am very grateful for your help....

just reinstall, maybe you need to do that with the setup.exe on the cd
