win2k or xp pro

I didnt know where to post this, so I will ask here.

I am going to be using my comp mainly for gaming, but also regular stuff like internet, but which OS would be the best for me, Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro?

They are amost identical. 2k maybe a bit more stable, but I think XP is better and easier for games and networking. I use XP pro but the sure is nothing wrong with 2k!

Xp uses more of the comps hardware so use Xp!!

Nxs is right but its 2k which is better for networking. Anyways I would go with XP but definitely 2k is alot more stable and not affected by as many viruses as XP.

viruses, i belive thats the AV problem, maybe more backdoors for hacking yes...

2k, i av XP, it uses 2 much of ur ram and it crashes 2 much!
if u want to game use 2k!

BUT with newest updates and antivirus bases(and of course antivirus) :thumbup:
like i did it works great!very fast and no viruses using russian Kaspersky Antivirus
