After using 3dmark, I feel like crying

I scored a terrible 3618, I think I need a new graphics card.

I have a radeon 9600xt right now, If I sold it and bought an x800 XT do you think it would cost me much?

The rest of my system is: P4 2.53ghz, 512mb ram, 80gb hdd (not sure how fast)

you'll need a faster pc to notice a real difference between the x800 pro and the xt, so you can save a wad of cash by going for the pro

u should wait til the new intel socket 775 motherboard comes out comes with alot of extra's like a really f**king good sound card. and it has the new latest pci express so u can have a faster game play. But i didnt really see much of a difference when they benchmarked i dont know what they benchmarked with but it only was good by a little. if not u can get a amd64 3800+ socket 939 those f**kers r faaster than amd64 fx-53 and u can get ur self a nice x800xt to. i would recommend u one of those. if u dont have enough money to buy socket 754 processors buy a amd64 3200 or 3400 or 3700 or u can get ur self a intel p4 3.2 ghzc and overclock that bitch. i recommend u to the amd64 939 sockets. but ur choice.

I would wait and take the AMD socket 939 with dual memorycontrolls on the cpu. That will be fast!!
