I would like to download the Elemental beta release, however as it is such a large file this would not be possible for me
to do without the aid of a download manager with a resume option as I have only a 56k connection. It appears that this gamershell wont allow the use of download managers such as net transport which I use with all my other large file downloads. As far as I know this is the only site hosting Elemental alpha. I f anyone knows of how I could go about using a download manager or even if there is one which would work here I would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks in advance.

Finally my 56k days are over. I asked my friends to download big files. Smaller files i downloaded myself and leaved them downloading over night. Use this www.leechget.com. I like this thing .

Thanks for drawing my attention to leechget Hitman47 it looks like its just the ticket for me ,Im downloading it at the moment , and swoosh I know tell me about it , 56k is a pain , people who make web sites like this, which wont allow download managers with resume dont care that there are still many who for economic or regional reasons can-not get high speed. For me its the rural area I live in but its no sense complaining and whinging about it .All i wanted was some tips from those a bit more cluey than myself thanks for the replies

well there are several things we have to weigh in. you may've noticed that we have a limited number of concurrent downloads on each server. if we allowed people to use download managers then each client would probably use the spots for 5 or even 10 other clients, along with causing various other problems that we don't like that much.

i know very well that using a 56k modem sucks, but i guess you should use your friends, or wait and see if we do a on demand cd burning service, which is something i definitely can't confirm we'll do at this point.
