and delete your emulation software like DAEMON TOOLS etc. causes heavy problems with fa:r cry. could be teh failure.

Check for spyware.. with all the progys
and deamon tools doesnt couse problems to farcry.. or to any other game for that..

get yourself WINISO and image that DVD.. then mount it on your virtual drive and run it NP

other then that ur comp looks cool.. and farcry runs cool on my specs too.. so cant see anyother prob at yours

I'll try that out thks for the help.... I lowered the resolution from 1280x by 1024x tooo 1024x by 768x and there was no lag but my computer should be able to play this game fine maxed everything.... well except for the video card - 128MB radeon 9600.... what settings do u run it at because i found other people with the same situation but i'll try that spyware stuff out and make a virtual drive thks.

spware and adware cost and none of the unregistered programs let me delete the parasites grrrrrr i'll have to buy Norton 2004 and internet security or something this is stupid i've already spent over Â£50 on just setting up one game how much more will it take

i'm not rich for god's sake.... isn't there a free spware progam out their to help the people and not charge them like skin flints.... bastards they help us by hitting us in the pocket grrrr

when i put my Far cry DVD into my DVD-Rom today there was no menu and it turns out my BIOS says my DVD-Rom exists but in Windows it doesn't wtf??!!!??

ok got the DVD-Rom sorted and it runs fine at medium and at 1024x768 pixels but without AA turned on.... What does AA actually do to the game btw because i didn't see an awful lot of change though.

Anti-aliasing. Makes the textures clearer and smoother round the edges.

lol you cant have that game under 1280x1024, do you know how many fps that takes off in that game? well my bro got to play pretty fine with a p4 2.4
dfi lanparty mobo, 1024 mb of ddr 3200 ram and a 9600 pro. he ran it fine and i only saw lag when there was a lot lot lot of smoke( which has a shitload of particles) in the game. He played it on very high also.
