whats wrong with my graphics card

my newer one isn't working anymore so i had to install my old tnt2
to watch several funmovies, trailers i use videolan player cause he supports most codecs. sometimes i use media player.
info: fresh installed system (win2k).

almost always my pc hangs when i'll try to open a movie file. whats the problem? i use one of the newest detonator.
do i have to say goodbye to that card?

that is obvious isn't it. It is time to treat youself and get a new card like the 9800 pro or xt or gffx 5700 ultra etc. and if you cannot afford that go for a budget card. :P :thumbup:

well, money doens't play a role in that situation.
but before thinking about buying a new card, i should think about buying a new pc, cause my athlon 800 is too old to get a new card ;)

Well, if it always happends with movies, maybe it has to do with a codec,
have you installed a codecpack that isn't for w2k?

That could be it, before my ti4200 and this Radeon9800Pro I had a TNT2, watched movies all the time, dual-screen on the TV!

nope haven't installed any codec, cause i usually use videolan. for that player u don't need codecs. i also didn't install directx, but i think it isn't important to watch movies.

Install DX, you need it for hardware acceleration ...
(It has directMedia which enables that .. try it!)
