Doom3: Win 98SE Fix ?

Any solution for my problem ?

I downloaded the doom3_any os and i;m not sure how to use it.

Can anyone care to guide me.

:P ooppss ok lets start from the beginning,

Got the game and tried to install but it says that doom3 does not support any OS older than WIN 2000 & XP.

So just installed anyway to try but... it really doesn't work, so just browsing the net for some solution and found out that there's a solution for it !!

You have to download this mod called doom3_any os from this site. SO thats what i did but i dont understand the instruction here.



-TO MAKE DOOM3 INSTALL ON ANY WINDOWS OS ( 98-ME-2000-XP-2003 )


take the doom3.msi file and replace it with the current file on CD1
make a new iso of cd1


done, have fun!!


My question here is anyone tried this solution ?

How do i replace the file on the CD Rom ? I cant cause it's write protected.

Also i did copy the whole cd & installed from there but error msg prompted that a file is missing.

Help pls... TQ for your replies

Its not built to work with Win9x, upgrade your OS to 2000 or XP
