Whenever I right click my desktop and go to properties, then advanced, my agp speed says "off". I tried to change it to 8X then it said it had to restart to see if it was compatable with my 9800 pro. I go back to it and it still says off. I try the same thing with 4X to no avail. I have an Aopen K8T800 mobo that supports 8X, and so does my 9800 pro. I have a 350 watt psu if that helps any(im getting a bigger one though in a few months).

any thoughts? Also, how can I get it to run OpenGL?

Ever tried looking through your BIOS Settings? Could be something wrong in there.
(If you don't know how to get in there, just press delete during startup, when it says it on the display)
Look through the advanced chipset settings ro something like that. maybe it's disabled there.

I''m 99 percent sure that its something in your bios. Be sure its set to 8x, and make sure fast writes are turned off, unless you are using a 64 bit processor. Every bios is different, so you'll have to dig around to find these settings, I can't tell you exactly where to go. Let us know if it works.

I have an athlon 64 processor, and I will try looking at my bios.

Is there any way I could accidently screw something up looking through them?

Be sure that you have installed the AGP driver for your particular motherboard chipset.

As for screwing something up by looking - no. Not by looking.

how would I go about installing the AGP drivers? I checked the Aopen website for AGP drivers, and the CD that came with the motherboard. couldnt find any AGP drivers on either one.

Get a new bios, new motherboard drivers, and most importantly CHIPSET DRIVERS, they control the AGP, what chipset is on your motherboard?\
(I had the same issue with mine, you need the chipset drivers)
