Does anyone know the difference between 9.0b and 9.0c? Because all I know is that before I installed 9.0c, Far Cry was running smoother, then once I installed 9.0c, the sounds in the game were making it choppy. Has 9.0c improved anything? Does anyone know? I tired to look with google with no luck.
So what do you guys think of 9.0c, and does it make any improvements (like in doom 3)?

there are actually many smaller changes that are great for programmers, like bugfixes, new stuff, modified stuff, etc. can't say why the farcry performance has gone for the worse though

has even one person noticed any improvement at all? obviously the majority of gamers who install 9.0c are not programmers, so maybe we non-programmers don't want 9.0c since the only difference i've seen is decrease in Far Cry's performance.

i installed 9.0c, defraged my harddrive and then did some optimizations in my doom3 console... im sory i didnt test doom3 and then instal 9.0c after wards, but i do know that doom3 is runing 10 times smoother. it may be all cause of the defragmenting and doom3 performance tweaks, but everything seems to be runing smoother than ever for me..

Very little difference for pre-x800 era gpus to be honest... and very little for us lucky buggers with them IMHO.
Main feature updates are the inclusion of Nvidia PS3.0 instruction support, which will only currently improve performance and increase gpx quality if you have a working copy of the only game that supports it, FarCry v1.2... and as seeing that the patch is extremely dodgy, not many of us do!
A future game to take advantage of PS3.0 instructions is, to my best knowledge, STALKER, and many other 2005 releases published under the TWIMTBP 'AAA' titles banner.

Doom3 is OpenGL
Nvidia SM3.0 won't be used in stalker from what ive read, its either 1.4 or 2.0.(they perform much better, and if u wanna check out the Stalker Pre-Alpaha it looks good and runs great(over 100 FPS))
9.0c is really useless for anything other then the Nvidia 6xxx series, as they are the only ones that support DX9.0c through the hardware(X800, sad to say is 9.0b)
