ASUS boards and ATi cards

fixed it. replaced my single stick of 512MB Crucial PC2700 with two 256MB sticks of 333 mhz or whatever. got dual-ddr going and hasn't crashed. i played far cry for like an hour and it ran like a champ. couldn't play for 5 mins or 10 max with the 512mb stick.. i don't know why but i've got a 512 stick for sale now let's start the bidding.

eh... i don't want it.... seems dangerous(thinks about it) ill give you 2 bucks.

im just kidding about selling it. here's the thing. i paid like $80 i think for this 512MB PC2700 Crucial ram stick. Basically, it didn't work with my mobo but on the crucial website, using THEIR ram selector thing, it says that the stick I own is guaranteed to work with my mobo or my money back. well, it doesn't work so do you guys think i should call them up and try to get some money back? I'd better check the site and see if there's a time period where that offer runs out because I've had it a few months.

when i demand a new ram chip i'm gonna ask if i can get (instead of a new 512mb PC2700 which is what i have) two 256MB sticks of PC3200 (DDR400) and i'll pay the difference if i have to. since my mobo does even better with dual-ddr 400 than normal, i'd might as well try for it.
