ATI or NVIDIA

I do not Know if there has been uch of a discusion of this

But with the latest Graphics cards from two leading companies which do you think will rule the roost?

The latest Nvidia series of cards is the 6800 series

And the Latest ATI series of cards is the X800 series


Which one would you think that would Give out the Ultimate Performance of graphic power that could handle a high tech Graphical game Such as Doom3 or Possibly HL2 (not sure of true Graphics potential of HL2 just yet) that could push both games to the limit. If you had the latest Motherboard and The fastest CPU and not forgetting the amount\speed of memory. And would also have no trouble with jerking whilst in game.
Myself for choice i am not certain what i would have proberly the Nvidia because i currently have an old Geforce 3 Ti 200.

both companies make very good cards. right now it's too early to say what'll be the best series of cards, because we just don't have enough next-gen games - but after a few months it should be clearer what's truly the best buy.

ati is usually faster when anti-aliasing is used, but nvidia has a history of releasing some awesome drivers, and their cards are just stuffed with raw power.
