Well Im not one to usally ask for help, I usally answer pleas for help, but here I am, on the other end of the rope, when connecting to some multiplayer servers(most, some work, most don't) I recivce the error im missing a media pack:

it's probably because the server uses a mod that you don't have. the other thing is that D3 makes problems connectin if you got FW on.

If you have a firewall it says the server is full when connecting even it's empty.
The mod thingy was only a guess, so no, i have no idea but I remember something simelar happening when a friend tried to join a cracked server and he had an original game. but I doubt that all the servers are cracked. Try connecting with ASE. If that didn#t help...well....dunno....

I can join servers but only a few, ill try out ASE and see if that works, if its a no no, then ill see if i can find a no cd crack and see if that works(if it does ill post that, however sadly)

Found the problem, My guess was right, if anyone else has this problem, its that god-forsaken ATi shader "tweak" that Kami posted that was supposed to give 5-40%. No offense kami but that was it, it was my only change and when i replaced the oringal Pk4 then it worked.
(i thought that might of been it and chceked the topic that kami posted a link to and no one else had that problem(they were prolly all still on SP) and that turns out to be it) Ironic, I answered my own question... So kami can you go and edit out the link to those forums? or at least put up a big wanring that says itll screw your multiplayer over.

makes it so you can't join servers who aren't tweaked to run the ATi tweak, so just about none work. just as a detail.
