Doom 3 multiplayer problems

Hi guys, I just recieved Doom 3 today and already Ive got problems. Its with the server menu for Doom 3. Well the problem is when I use the filter to filter out password protected, full and empty servers it doesnt work.I apply the changes but when I go to join a server it says it is full or has a password even though it should have been filtered out. Nearly all the servers I cant join because of this and I dont know why. Also when my mate creates a server I cant find it on the list in the server menu and the same happens when I create a server, he cant find me. Also is there a way to find out my server ip. Also I cant join almost all the servers on the menu list. I can join about 2% of them even though there are hundreds of servers on the list. Another problem is, I join a server that looks empty on the menu but when I get in it is almost full. Also when I try to join some servers i am told 2 media packs are missing. All these problems happen to my mate aswell. So I am wondering if this happens to you guys and if not how can I solve them?

a lot of people are joining the servers, keep trying to find one that isn;t full.

when you got a firewall like zonealarm or such it gives you the message Server Full. it happened to me too. best is you use ASE for server search sinse you can leave the FW on and still be able to connect. Why it is like that I dunno

Do I have to pay for this ALL SEEING EYE or is it free cos ive just used it and it is briliant.

Are u sure cos i read somewhere on their site that its only a 21 day evalaution

I tried to play, with 300ping it wouldn't work, I ran around shooting out lights, playing with generators, frag chambers, lights, and other terminals.

but it was still fun. usually I get a 20-30 ping on austrian servers...that was probably a home made one with me havin 200+ ping

ASE is for free but limited as that. If you pay you get like no restriction just like GameSpy tries to do.
