Ahoy Mates.
So my LG Flatron 915ft Plus is dead. :nxs: I'm using my Laptop at the moment. That's why I want to buy a TFT. It should be a 19" (Inch) Display with good response times (>20ms) and good quality. I was thinking of a BenQ clickie But maybe some of you have good tft for me or tips for buying one. (Had only CRT's) My budget is somewhat of 720 US Dollar. To my other Question: Is there a possible solution to set the rpm's of my cpu fan down? I can't do it in the BIOS. Is there a software tool which can do this or any other solution? And then again I could just buy a silent fan. thanks so far.

As to tft's i heard only good things about nec's. But i'm sort of a fanboy of crt, so why a tft?
And about that fan, you can buy a regulator, these thing are really cheap, but it may be hard to hide if you have an "exhibition case". Or some fans come with those covers for pci slots where you can place it, not sure if you can buy just the cover tho. But if that's not a problem you can just leave it hanging or duct tape it somewhere inside.

You can of course buy a 5.25" front panel like the tt hardcano, there not so cheap, but you can use many fans with them easily. There are also things like that for 3.5" slot.

My dad gets free 17"-20" NEC's from his office- usually only in CRT format so thats what I get. Right now I have a 17" NEC AccuSync 75f. Its awesome just because I got 4 of them for free. Im thinking about doing a multiple monitor setup now that I have a big enough desk.
