Flashing ur GPU Bios legal?

Flashing the bios is not illegal, though it does void your warranty. How you obtain the bios is another question. If you have it on another card, and copy it, it's legal. But if you download it off the net, I believe it's illegal. The bios is what makes the card what it is. for example, an ATI 9800 XT an ATI 9800 XT. This is why it's illegal to download, for example, game console bios's, like the playstation bios, and this is why emulators do not come with them.
